American-French Genealogical Society: Film Room Request Form

New Service offered by the American-French Genealogical Society.

We understand that it may be difficult to visit our library to access some of the information we are now showing in the searchable indexes.

Also we have a number microfilms of vital records including Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire. Also we own the Drouin microfilm collection of Canada records from 1606 to 1935.

We are pleased to announce that we are offering an AFGS Film Room Copy Service. This service will provide copies of actual obituaries, head stone pictures or copies of birth, marriage or death records contained on one of the microfilms. This service is available to AFGS members and non-Members alike.

For AFGS members a number of copies of Obituary and Head Stone pictures will be available for free. Also AFGS members will receive a reduced price for copies of events from the microfilms. Non members can receive the Obituary, Head Stone pictures and microfilm copies for a fee.

Very important - PLEASE NOTE: This is a copy service only, not a research request service. You must provide the necessary information on the form provided for the request to be processed. Also all transactions will be by e-mail. None will be handled by regular mail.

This form is for requesting a copy of a specific document or pictures from AFGS. It is not to request research. This is a copy service only you must provide the needed information on this form for AFGS to process your request. Prices listed are for members of the American-French Genealogical Society as well as for non members of the American-French Genealogical Society.

All document requests must have the name being requested also Month, Year and place, without this information your request is considered research and not a Document Copy. If we can not find the documents there will be no charges. If you want us to expand our search further within the same microfilm you must check the box under the listing on the actual request form. Expanded search involves our searching the same film you requested for your information. AFGS members may receive a total of 7 copies Free from category B per year. For AFGS Members ordering more then 7 copies the cost will be $2.00 each.
Obituary Clippings are from 1987-2009

Copy's from Category B for Non members of the American-French Genealogical Society are $5.00 each
