What are the Golden Web Awards?
The Golden Web Awards are a Free service of the IAWMD, whereby Web
Masters, Designers, and/or other netrepenuers can visit our affiliated
web site at http://www.goldenwebawards.com to submit their site for
award consideration.
How does the Award process work?
Web sites submitted for an award are randomly forwarded from the
association's database to the VVA Committee
(voluntary voting assignment members).
These members of the IAWMD review and rate the submitted web sites on
design, originality, and content.
When are the Golden Web Awards presented?
The Golden Web Awards are presented throughout the year, with a new
award being made available at the beginning of each calendar year.
1999-2000 Golden Web Award January 1, 1999 through December 31, 1999
2000-2001 Golden Web Award January 1, 2000 through December 31, 2000
2001-2002 Golden Web Award January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001
2002-2003 Golden Web Award January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002.
Who has won the Golden Web Award?
To date there have been numerous websites around the world that have
received the Golden Web Award.
What is the I.A.W.M.D?
Created and founded by Web Professionals, the I.A.W.M.D. is the
International Association of Web Masters and Designers, dedicated toward
providing a common ground for which members of the association, both
students and regular members, could come together with their respective
peers, via the Internet to participate in numerous activities and common
interests (i.e. web site awards, polling, informational networking,
etc..).
What are the objectives of the Association?
The IAWMD, by way of its membership, seeks to promote and share related
education and awareness, informational networking, recognition and
strategic alliances between the IAWMD and other internet related
organizations and affiliations. Through our membership, recognition
directories and awards, we believe that we can make a difference and
leave our mark upon the information superhighway. In addition, the
association will continually seek to provide new opportunities and
benefits worldwide to the members.
Originally intended to be an organization exclusively for Web Masters
and Designers to show their common bond regarding professional ethics
and business integrity on the web, the International Association
of Web Masters and Designers was appropriately named.
However, today with the exponential growth of the Internet, many new and
related career opportunities have been created. And, although we have
not changed our name or our mission, the I.A.W.M.D. has since opened
it's doors to many of the professionals in these areas as well.
Who are the IAWMD members?
The members of the International Association of Web Masters and
Designers are business people and students from all over the world with
a variety of backgrounds, careers and interests.
With members in more than 130 countries around the world, the
association still remains focused on providing all OS these members a
common ground from which they may begin to establish a professional,
recognized level of credibility.
The Golden Web Awards is a FREE service of the
association and is presented to those sites whose web design,
originality and content have achieved levels of excellence deserving of
