| Leon F. ASSELIN Leon died with family by his side on March 29, 2010 in Seattle, WA. He was born in Central Falls, RI in 1929, one of nine children; at 16 he entered the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Holy Order in Harrisville, RI. |

| There he honed his teaching skills by teach ing at several elementary schools across Northern New England. When he decided holy life was not for him, he toured with Uncle Sam for 4 years in Germany before returning to RI to meet and marry his true love Rose; together they had a lifetime of happiness and great adventures. He taught for 32 years at Riverside Jr. High in E Providence, RI. In his retirement he continued to pursue his interests in wood working, bowling, genealogy with the American Franco Genealogical Society, and collectibles with the I Believe in Miracles Precious Moments Club. |
THe is survived by his brother Paul (Annette) and sister Pauline Goulet; his wife of 54 years Rose (Amaral); two children Mark (Denise) and Leann Kostek (Paul); two grand children Erika Doctor (Mitch) and Nathan; and two Berners Lucy and Noodles. A celebration of Leon's life will be held April 24, 2:00 PM at Vineyard Park 10519 E Riverside Dr, Bothell, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to any local Alzheimer's Association .
