In Memoriam to Our Departed American French Genealogical Society Members


The AFGS wishes to use this page as a way to recall and honor our departed members.

Paul P. Delisle, Sr. - February 25, 1945 - April 9, 2007
WOONSOCKET- Paul P. Delisle, Sr. of Clinton St., Woonsocket died Monday April 9, 2007 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. A lifelong Woonsocket resident.

Born February 25, 1945, he was the son of the late Valmore and Anita (Cloutier) Delisle.
He worked in Machine Maintenance in the local area retiring in 1997 due to illness. Mr Delisle was a Board Member and was very active, for over thirty years, in the American French Genealogy Society, Woonsocket. He was also an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War Era.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Delisle, Jr. of Millville, MA and Doug Delisle of Ludlow, MA, a daughter, Anita Fernandes of Woonsocket, two stepsons, Edward Johansen of Taunton and Tony Johansen of Georgia, two stepdaughters, Mary Plante of West Warwick and Angela Fernandes of Florida and five grandchildren.

His funeral will be held Friday, April 13, 2007 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Holy Family Church, 414 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 - 8PM. www.holtfuneralhome.com
